Network Engineer
Responsible for 24/7 network and disaster recovery operations, develop and maintain enterprise load balancer, install, configure, and manage enterprise load balancer infrastructure. Create and manage secure socket layer (SSL) offload, ciphers and Local Traffic Manager (LTM) traffic performance optimization. Troubleshoot application layer issues related to load balancer services. Resolve all load balancer services remedy tickets as needed. Perform patch management for the load balancer infrastructure. Create and maintain proper configuration management as it pertains to load balancer services. Create and update documentation including standard operating procedures, and network documentation and diagrams. Perform daily health checks and monitoring for the load balancer infrastructure. Provide weekly performance metrics. Submit change request documentation to address enterprise configuration change. Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as needed. Manage and troubleshoot firewall related issues. Working with onsite engineer to troubleshoot and fix hardware related issues. Attending Major incident calls and perform health check from firewall and Load balancer perspective. Work with different teams and be prepared to be a single point of contact for any customer escalations. Need to have experience with Network Load balancing technologies, F5 BigIP, knowledge of Checkpoint, Cisco ASA and Fortigate firewalls, routers, switches and IPSec VPNs. Strong knowledge and experience with routing, security protocols, ACLs, Firewalls, WAF, and Intrusion Prevention Systems is required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree (any) and MBA (any) or has a Bachelor’s degree (any) with 5 years experience and/or any suitable combination of education, training or work experience.
